DIETER MORSZECK FOUNDATION
Help from the air – when other options fail
The Dieter Morszeck Foundation has set itself the task of setting up and operating air rescue systems, such as those operated by the Swiss Air-Rescue Rega.
In addition, the foundation promotes the construction of modern emergency stations in hospitals and aircraft with the latest technology so that they can fulfill their task optimally.
The Dieter Morszeck Foundation’s air rescue service has already been able to help in some disaster areas. For example, during the devastating destruction caused by a hurricane in the Bahamas in 2019, the Foundation’s aid flights transported around 100 injured and sick people from the hard-hit north-east of the Bahamas to the capital Nassau or to Florida, where they received medical assistance. On the way there, the planes transported drinking water, food and hygiene products for the affected population.
